The end of a day.

By 5:41 a.m., the shouting bird outside had me wide awake and ready for coffee.  Fortunately, by 7 a.m. I was asleep again.  It's been an all-bets-off day like that; expediency provoked me to flash my old ID card at a gate for the first time this month, and the fact that I was admitted with grins led me, later in the day, into Clare's Fellows Garden, where I spent a lot of time getting very close indeed to many plants I'd never seen before.

Somehow, each of these developments seems to me to be an offshoot of having been in bed before dark last night, and so I'm going to try that again now.
